"Crossword" activities practice the vocabulary in a unit.

1. Read the clues to the right of the puzzle. The answers to the "Across" clues go from left to right ; the answers to the "Down" clues go from top to bottom .
2. Double-click on a clue to place your cursor in the first square in the puzzle that goes with that clue. Type the answer. You can also click on any square in the puzzle and type in a letter.
3. Try to complete the puzzle on your own first. If you have trouble, click on "Show letter." This will show you the letter that should be in the square where your cursor is.
4. After you have completed the puzzle, click on "Check answers" to see how well you have done.
